The largest collegiate tournament in the country, the Asics GLIAC/GLVC Crossover Volleyball Tournament, will be held on October 16-17, 2009, at Aim High Sports in Diamondale, Michigan. Events begin at 11:00 a.m. on Friday and 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
The Greater Lansing Sports Authority is pleased to join Asics, Meijer, Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference, Molten and Great Lakes Valley Conference as a sponsor of the event.
The tournament is an intraregional event that will attract more than 450 student athletes and more than 1,000 spectators. Teams travel from seven states: Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Wisconsin, Kentucky and Missouri.
A number of players are from the Greater Lansing area and have gone on to play at the collegiate level.
