Michigan State University has come out of the Big Ten season smelling like a rose - and it is culminated into an incredibly special season for us lucky fans!

There is no other way to put it; it's been an incredible season for Michigan State Football. This 2013 season has delivered a Legends Division Championship, an outright Big Ten Championship and the first 12-win season in school history. When you combine the #1 ranked defense in the nation with a determined and ever-confident offense, you get a team that has blown through the Big Ten schedule undefeated and heads into the Bowl Season with an incredible record and the confidence to match. By knocking off Ohio State in the Big Ten Championship game last Saturday night, the Spartans earn their first Rose Bowl berth in 26 years! Can you believe it? I wasn't kidding when I said this was an exciting time to wear the green and white. In fact, for me, its particularly cool. I remember clearly 1988 when the Spartans played in their last Rose Bowl and I was in middle school. Now, MSU is back in the rose bowl and MY SONS are in middle school! As a huge fan its incredibly fun to be enjoying this tremendous Spartan football season, this is without a doubt the best they've done in my lifetime. Yes, my friends, the last time MSU was headed to the Rose Bowl, Faith by George Michael was the number one song in the country. Needless to say this moment of glory is long overdue for this hardworking group of players, coaches and support staff. Be sure to load up on fantastic MSU gear to show your support. In fact, I think Rose Bowl t-shirts are the perfect thing for every Spartan fans stocking this year, am I right? Make your plans now for watching the big game versus Stanford on New Years Day! Whether you are home, at a friends house, at one of the great Lansing restaurantsor even in Pasadena, enjoy the game but more importantly, enjoy this Spartan football season - its absolutely special.
