LANSING, Mich. The Greater Lansing Sports Authority (GLSA), a division of the Greater Lansing Convention and Visitors Bureau, is pleased to announce it has hired Miranda Coleman, as Sports Services Manager.
Coleman has a Bachelors degree in Criminal Justice from Olivet College and a Masters degree from Central Michigan University in Sports Administration. While earning her degree at CMU, she worked as the graduate assistant for Event Management, Facilities, and Club Sports in the recreation department. Coleman also previously worked for Gus Macker as the supervisor for officials and served as the Program Director at the Boys and Girls Club of Lansing from 2012-2014.
Coleman graduated from Lansing Everett High School and played on their back-to-back State Championship girls basketball teams. Her sports career continued as a student athlete at the College of Central Florida and Florida Gulf Coast University and eventually became the assistant womens basketball coach at the College of Central Florida.
Miranda is a driven individual with both high energy and solid experience coordinating sports events, said Mike Price, Executive Director with the Greater Lansing Sports Authority. Mirandas team-focused background and fresh ideas will make her a valuable asset to the entire organization.
