Well we have another Father's Day coming up and everybody's wondering what to do with dear old Dad. Its a tough decision sometimes because you want to do something new and exciting, but maybe also an old stand-by that you know Dad will love. Start with a passion that Your Dad has and then think about ways you can engage in it locally. A safe bet with 90% of Dad's is some kind of sport. Maybe watching it, maybe doing it, but in some way or another sports for Dad is a safe bet, just like flowers for Mom on her special day. Like for example, does your Dad like Bowling? Take him to City Limits Bowling Center and not only bowl a game, but have a great bite to eat and play some Laser Tag! Does Dad love golf? Try a new course in town. There are over 3o in Greater Lansing from which to choose, you know. How about take a spin or two around the rink at Edru or make it even cooler and go with Suburban Ice East Lansing or the Summit? How about head up to Sundance Riding Stables for a day on horse-back? Baseball fan? How about a game at the Cooley Law School Stadium, home of the Lansing Lugnuts? Maybe go for a swim at the East Lansing Aquatic Center? How about a leisurely stroll through one of the areas beautiful nature centers like Fenner, Woldumar or Harris?

These are some great ideas to get Dad out and having a good time in Greater Lansing and I hope you take me up on at least one of them, but the most important thing to do is spend time with Dad, even if the only sport you engage in is shooting hoops in the driveway or throwing the baseball around in the backyard. Happy Father's Day Dads - thanks for being a good sport.
