Hey all you fans of Greater Lansing Sports! Tomorrow is an awesome day to check out some of Greater Lansing's best athletic facilities first hand as you participate in the 18th annual Be A tourist In Your Own Town! Yes, sure, this event is also full of other kinds of attractions, like art galleries, museums and gardens but since there are so many sports fans around, we've got you covered too! For just the cost of your $1 passport you can do a ton of fun sports.
Check out Edru Skate-A-Rama where you can roller skate for free with your passport. Skate rentals are also available and there is even Laser tag if you want to try that. Laser tag is just $6.
Then go to FunTyme Adventure Park in either Okemos or Grand Ledge and play mini-golf free with your passport.
Then head to the Demmer Shooting Sports Center and check out fire arms and archery. Pre-registration for this is required so do that ASAP. Contact Demmer at 884-0550.
Then head to the home of the Lansing Lugnuts, Cooley Law School Stadium for an insiders tour of their sweet facility. Picture hitting one out and then run the bases for real. Yes, you are a shining star.
Weather permitting, the awesome community of Haslett will be doing sailboat rides at the Lansing Sailing Club on East Lake Drive.
Still got some energy you softie? Good! Now we head over to Royal Scot for not one, but TWO free games of bowling. Shoe rental included. Sweet!
It appears today is the day for rented footwear! Time to get your feet ready for borrowed ice skates as you head over to Suburban Ice East Lansing for free ice skating. Very "cool" way to spend the day. While you're there, ask for my friend Meghan Ziehmer. Maybe she'll come out onto the ice and do that awesome super fast spin thing only real figure skaters can do.
So that's it! A fun day of sports in Greater Lansing for a buck - get out and play! Need more info? Visit our Things to do in Lansing website.
