An event that has taken hold in Greater Lansing like perhaps no other is the Hawk Island Triathlon. As it grows in participation each year, the need for dedicated volunteers also grows. So here's the question to ask yourself - Do you want to be a part of something great for the community? Do you want to meet positive people and get out under the sun and make a difference in the wellness of your community? Are you maybe interested in running a triathlon one day but you're not to that point just yet? What better thing for you then to get out and volunteer for this awesome event. Trust me, be a part of this and you'll come away feeling great about your community and motivated to get rolling yourself toward a personal best.

One of the critical ingredients in a successful event, especially a triathlon, is lots of dedicated volunteers. Volunteers make it possible to conduct a safe, well-organized event. Have you considered doing this before? Why not? Fitness is about pushingyour comfort zone after all, so why not apply it to this? Trust me, you wan't regret it. Maybe do more than just volunteer yourself - encourage your employer to put together a team of volunteers and you can get some positive exposure for your company that way. Get a group of friends together and volunteer together and have a blast. Any ideas coming together? Think! You got this! Training, shirts, and food are provided. Descriptions of each volunteer duty are described here.
