MHSAA Boys Basketball Semi-Finals and Finals

Greater Lansing is pleased to host the MHSAA Boys Basketball Semi Finals and Finals at the Breslin Student Events Center for the 22nd consecutive year. The Breslin Center, located on the campus of Michigan State University, is the State’s premier basketball facility and is one of five different venues in the Lansing community to host the MHSAA Boys Basketball State Tournament.

MHSAA basketball has a long and illustrious history in Lansing and 2016 will mark the 67th year the championships will be played in our community. The tournament first came to East Lansing in 1919 when MSU’s College Gymnasium (1919–1926) hosted the championships. Other MSU venues which have also seen champions crowned are Demonstration Hall (1931–1933) and Jenison Field House (1940–1942, 1945–1970, 1972–1974). The fifth Greater Lansing venue to host the championships is the Don Johnson Field House (1944), then known as the Boys Vocational School Field House. It was chosen as the site in 1944 because of military operations taking place on the MSU campus and there was no tournament in 1943 because of World War II.

The championship schedule at the Breslin Center will be posted as soon as it is available:
