Built in 1974 strictly for hockey, the Clarence L. "Biggie" Munn Ice Arena is recognized as one of the finest collegiate hockey facilities in the country. It is constantly being upgraded and renovated, with the latest additions being luxury boxes, club seating, a new press box, and all-new video boards and scoreboards.
Available bleacher seating will accommodate up to 7,000 spectators. Various lots surrounding the facility offer plenty of convenient walkable parking.
Accessible from entrances on both ends, the upper spectator viewing area includes excellent sight lines for all seating, ancillary public concourse facilities and a handicapped platform.
The ice surface, sized at 200 feet by 85 feet for North American-rules play, is maintained by a direct refrigerant system, rather that by the old heat-exchanged method. The system allows Munn Arena to maintain ice all year.
As a hockey-only facility, Munn Ice Arena avoids the scheduling conflicts found in other building.
This facility is great for tournaments and special events.
