LANSING, Mich.— The Greater Lansing Sports Authority and the MSU Archery Team are proud to announce Greater Lansing will host the 2020 51st USA Archery Indoor Nationals and the 2020 USA Archery JOAD (Junior Olympic Archery Development) Indoor Nationals. The two different events will be held at the Ingham County Fairgrounds from February 28 to March 1st.
The two high-profile tournaments will bring top archers from across the country for three days of competition. The USA Archery Indoor Nationals will bring over 200 competitors and the Junior event will bring another 124. Add to that coaches, family, friends and fans and that means thousands of visitors in the area in need of hotels, restaurants, shopping and more.
“The Greater Lansing community is excited to host to these two major national archery events,” said Mike Price, Executive Director of the Greater Lansing Sports Authority. “Our growing relationship with USA Archery has opened the door to additional archery events and these two national competitions are truly best of class.”
Eric Beaudry, Tournament Director with MSU Archery feels Greater Lansing is an excellent fit for the upcoming events. “The Lansing community has been very welcoming to the archers and the city stands out to all ages of competitors. Our partnership with the GLSA ensures that this event will run efficiently and does not have any flaws that may inhibit an archer from shooting the best score they can. We look forward to the start of this tournament on Feb 28 at the Ingham County Fairgrounds, and our next tournament in the Lansing area.”
