COLORADO SPRINGS, Colorado – USA Archery is thrilled to announce the dates and location of the 2016 U.S. National Outdoor Collegiate Championships. The 2016 NOCC will be hosted by Michigan State University with support from the Greater Lansing Sports Authority (GLSA) on May 19-22, 2016 at the Hope Sports Complex.

Mike Price, CEO of the GLSA shared: “The GLSA is proud to partner with the MSU Archery Club to host the 2016 Collegiate Nationals. Competitors will find a community excited to host, an event that is extremely well run and a facility that is state of the art in every way. We look forward to showcasing all our region has to offer and creating lifelong memories for the athletes and spectators.”

Eric Beaudry, the Tournament Director, shared the excitement: “On behalf of the MSU Archery Club, we are very excited for this opportunity to host this event. Our club has a long-standing tradition of running quality tournaments and making sure the archers have a positive experience.

He continued: “We want the archers to be able to solely focus on shooting the best they can which will make the field of play the most competitive. The Lansing community is excited to have this event. With the support staff the club has through Greater Lansing Sports Authority, Hope Sports Complex, The Demmer Center, and many more; we are looking to make this a very memorable tournament for these college archers. We want them to remember what a great time they had coming to Michigan.”

The U.S. National Outdoor Collegiate Championship will consist of one day of Official Practice, two days of 72-arrow qualification rounds, the first followed by the Mixed Team event and the second followed by Team event, and finally individual elimination matches. There will also be a special welcome reception and an awards banquet following the completion of the event.
