After you're done checking out the Michigan State Football Green and White Game at Spartan Stadium on Saturday, keep your Sunday open for a little more football action - this time for a good cause.
Head over to Marshall Park in Lansing for the 2014 Battlefield Brawl, a flag football tournament with all proceeds going to children battling life threatening illnesses. Teams are made up of your average guy or gal, weekend warrior types as well as former college and pro athletes from around the area. I've been a few times and seen former Spartan Hoop and Gridiron stars, former Detroit Lions and some well-known prep all-stars as well. And yes, its flag football, but these teams are competitive, so the action can get intense. The first game kicks off at 11 a.m. so don't miss any of the action. It's never too late to donate to this worthy cause either, so check out the event website for more info and give a little money for the kids. Football is tough, but its nothing compared to fighting for your life. Have some fun and do some good - check out Battlefield Brawl 2014 this Sunday, April 27th.
