The Greater Lansing Sports Authority (GLSA), along with the MSU Archery Club, Hope Sports Complex and the Ingham County Fairgrounds are pleased to team up and host two major national archery competitions in 2017.

The events will bring over 300 youth and adult archers for each tournament from across the compete in Greater Lansing during this multi-day competition. The 48th Annual U.S. National Indoor and 2017 JOAD National Indoor Championships will be held on February 24-26 at the Ingham County Fairgrounds in Mason. The USA Archery World Youth Championships, a first-time event for the community, will be held July 7-9 at Hope Sports Complex.

“Greater Lansing has excellent venues and local support for archery tournaments,” said Meghan Ziehmer, Associate Director of the GLSA. “For the governing bodies to choose our area for two such high-profile events is further testament to the strength of our sports community. We know that went athletes come to Greater Lansing, they're going to enjoy the venues, our lodging and the community as a whole.”

The National Indoor Archery Championships will include over 300 participants, coaches, officials and hundreds more friends and family for an average four-night stay in the Greater Lansing area. During the stay, visitors will have time to get out and explore the community and its many restaurants, shops and attractions. The USA Archery team trials for the World Youth Championships will bring the best under-18 archers from around the world for the opportunity to represent the USA at the World Archery Youth Championships and explore the Greater Lansing community as a whole.
