LANSING, Mich.The Greater Lansing Sports Authority (GLSA), along with the MSU Archery Club, and Ingham County Fairgrounds are proud to host the U.S. Archery World Indoor Team Trials at the Fairgrounds Main Site on December 18-20, 2015. This is the first time the event has ever been held in Greater Lansing.
This U.S. World Indoor Team Trials event will select top male and female archers from across the country who will represent USA Archery at the World Indoor Championships in Ankara, Turkey, March 1-6, 2016. Archers, coaches, family and fans from 27 U.S. states will be in town for the three-day event.
The Greater Lansing community is thrilled to be hosting the very best archers in the country for this high profile U.S. Team event, said Meghan Ziehmer, Sports Events Manager with the GLSA. Working with our dedicated local partners the event is great exposure for our region and all our great assets, as well as allows our community to play a part in selecting Team USA for the 2016 World Archery Indoor Championships.
Eric Beaudry with the MSU Archery Club shares Ziehmers enthusiasm for the event. Its a point of pride to open the Greater Lansing community and our many assets to the top archers around the country, said Beaudry. Its one of the most high profile archery events in the country right here in our backyard.
