Seems like every fall we get bombarded with area road races. Streets are closed down and runners that normally pass along sidewalks and the winding trails throughout the community, are suddenly running right down the middle of the street, and in droves. Runners gain strength by running in big groups like this, I believe. The organized road races tend to support a cause or charity, which further serves to bring participants together. Get to Greater Lansing this fall and participate at any level in one of the many community road races coming up - this weekend is no exception. As far as a good cause and community good feel, you can't do much better. Funds raised by this event will be used to support our programming and also send two Michigan first-responders to New York City for an all-expense paid weekend. How cool is that? There are so many reasons to run, here's just one more.
