LANSING, Mich.— The Greater Lansing Sports Authority is pleased to welcome the Discraft’s CCR Open to Greater Lansing’s Grand Woods Park and Burchfield Park, June 29-30, 2019.
This event, which has grown to include more than 215 competitors, will include top national disc golf pros, including the #1 ranked disc golf player in the world.
“Disc golf is an up-and-coming tournament sport and the Greater Lansing area has worked hard to position ourselves as a strong host community,” said Mike Price, Executive Director for the GLSA. “The Capital City Renegades are a great local club, and perfect hosts for this open tournament. Our hope is to have this event be a catalyst for future growth of the sport in the region.”
Matt Rinker, Event Organizer and President of the Capital City Renegades Disc Golf Club, shares Price’s enthusiasm for the tournament.
“This years event brings our biggest sponsor, Discraft, along with disc golf’s premier media provider, Jomez, to showcase some of the nations top pros on our most challenging local courses,” said Rinker.
For those that wish to attend the tournament competition begins at 9 a.m. on Saturday June 29 and Sunday June 30. Spectators need only pay the park entrance fee of $3 for residents and $5 for non-residents.
