LANSING, MICH. – April 30, 2024 – The Lansing Sports CommissionTM is excited to host NCAA Women’s Golf, USA Taekwondo, Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference baseball championships and several other sports events in May. Throughout the month, sports events will bring more than 3,000 athletes to the region.
“Greater Lansing is proud to host multiple events this month that will bring nearly three thousand athletes to the region,” said Meghan Ziehmer, Executive Director for the Lansing Sports CommissionTM. “We couldn't be more grateful for community partners like Michigan State University and our sports facilities and venues for helping host these impactful events.”
NCAA D1 Women’s Golf Regional Tournament
Forest Akers, May 5-8
Eighteen teams and six individuals will compete in East Lansing for a spot at the 2024 NCAA Championships. Six teams and three individuals will advance.

Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Baseball Championships
Jackson Field, May 9-12
This event begins with a practice day on Wednesday, May 8th, 2024 with bracket play beginning Thursday, May 9th. This is a six team, double elimination tournament.

USA Taekwondo Grand Prix Regionals
Lansing Center, May 31-June 2
The 2024 U.S. Taekwondo Regional Qualifier - East event will take place in Lansing, Michigan. 1,000 athletes will compete at this event to qualify for the upcoming 2024 U.S. National Taekwondo Championships event July 4 - 7, 2024.
