LANSING, Mich.— The Greater Lansing Sports Authority is pleased to welcome back to the community one of its longest running sports event partners, Senior Softball USA, for the 2019 Senior Softball Northern Championships, August 15-18. Softball games will feature 50 different teams with players ranging in age from 40-years-old to 80-years-old.

The softball teams, family and fans from across the country will begin arriving in Greater Lansing for the event starting Wednesday, August 14. Senior Softball USA has been bringing tournament events to Greater Lansing for 15 years.

“These highly-competitive teams are passionate about softball, and that passion is on display in each of these tournament games,” said Meghan Ziehmer, Associate Executive Director for the GLSA. “We’re very proud of our long-running relationship with Senior Softball USA. You know when you have an event that comes back every year for 15 years, that means they are happy with the venues, hotels and the community – that’s our goal with every group.”

Lake Alliance Softball Complex in Potterville is the Headquarter facility for the event with additional games being played at the East Lansing Softball Complex. Games will be played from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. each night. There is no cost for admission.
