Organizations Offering Various Inclusive Sporting Events Throughout the Year
DeWitt Area Recreation Authority (DARA)
The DeWitt Area Recreation Authority (DARA) is focused on bringing a variety of inclusive sporting events to the region. Sporting opportunities include:
- Adaptive Soccer - open to all ages. Runs through October. Games are played at Miracle League of Mid-Michigan Field.
- Miracle League of Mid-Michigan Baseball - open to all ages. Games are non-competitive. Equipment provided.
- CheerAbilities - open to ages 5 and up. A club for competitive cheerleading for athletes with disabilities. Athletes travel to competitions within Michigan and the surrounding states as well as to The All Star Worlds Championships in Orlando, Florida, in April.

Lansing Parks & Recreation
Lansing Parks and Recreation offers leisure programs and opportunities to help improve the quality of life as well as maintain physical and psychological health and well-being. Inclusive recreation programs offer opportunities for individuals to socialize and participate together. The goal is to reduce barriers to leisure by utilizing adaptations and programming accommodations.
