The GLSA had another incredibly successful year, drawing in sports tournaments and events of nearly every kind into the Capital region.

The Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC), the Greater Lansing Sports Authority and Lansing Lugnuts spoke to the media on December 2nd to share that the Greater Lansing region was recently selected to host a prestigious six-team, double-elimination GLIAC Baseball Tournament at Cooley Law School Stadium. The event will take place May 7-10, 2020.
The Greater Lansing Sports Authority and Michigan Special Olympics will host two upcoming events providing competition and camaraderie for over 1,000 athletes. The 2019 State Poly Hockey Tournament will be held at Holt High School November 23-24 and the 2019 State Unified Bowling Tournament will be November 23rd at Royal Scot Golf and Bowl.

Michigan State University graduate student Piotr Pasik loves seeing the look on people's faces when he tells them he plays tennis. As a wheelchair user, Pasik learned early on to defy others' expectations. At MSU, he has studied Kinesiology, traveled the world and got involved with MSU's Adaptive Sports Club.
The return of Spartan Football – Just saying the words gives those of us that bleed green full-blown goosebumps. The concept is so exciting because of all the positivity and excitement that Spartan football brings to our lives.
The Greater Lansing Sports Authority is pleased to welcome back to the community one of its longest running sports event partners, Senior Softball USA, for the 2019 Senior Softball Northern Championships, August 15-18. Softball games will feature 50 different teams with players ranging in age from 40-years-old to 80-years-old.
